Hall Morrice Sponsors Hall Russell United FC Under 18s

Hall Russell u18s

We’re delighted to announce our sponsorship of Hall Russell United - a  local junior football club which has its roots in the shipyard works team of the Hall Russell’s Shipyard in Aberdeen, which founded in 1915.

We are sponsoring the new kit for Hall Russell United FC Development squad as they begin their first season in the Highland League Development League. Our business development director Mike Innes – who many will know of as a keen supporter of football from grassroots up - was on hand to deliver the kit to the team.

The current club was founded in 1968 after the original Hall Russell shipyard works team became defunct in 1958.

Mike says,

“Hall Morrice is delighted to be kit sponsor for the new Hall Russell under 18s team.  I know from personal experience how important it is to provide youngsters at this age a clear pathway into the adult leagues.

“We wish Gordon and his team the best of luck for the season ahead.”

Gordon Davidson, head coach for the team says,

“Hall Russell United’s under 18 ‘development’ squad is participating for the first time in the Scottish Highland Football League’s Youth Programme this season.  This allows for the continuing development of young players beyond their boy’s club teams and the squad represents Hall Russell United’s first foray into development football.  It is hoped that players will continue their development from boy’s club to junior football and hopefully beyond with the squad consisting of players from several city clubs.

“The new squad has made a good start to the season with a win and a narrow defeat.  The squad play their matches on a Monday evening with the young players enjoying the experience of playing under the floodlights at many Highland League and junior grounds.  Sponsorship is obviously vital to ensure the squad can play at this level and Hall Russell United are delighted to have secured Hall Morrice as a key sponsor for the squad and thank them for their generosity.”
